Papoilas

Set on a sloping plot of land, this detached house reflects the combination of a solid structure and an architecture of bold lines that take advantage of the altitude and slope of the land, resulting in a contemporary building, located in one of the privileged areas of the Cascais line with a view magnificent view over the sea.

With the slope of the land as the main highlight, the solution adopted included the execution of a system of retaining walls that provide the necessary stability to match the loads determined by the building, achieving a harmonious integration with the architecture and landscaping.

The structure also includes an anticipation of necessary alignments to comply with architectural assumptions, highlighting altimetric variations between structural elements on the same floor and structural walls with specifically defined inflection points to take advantage of the solar orientation, incorporate minimalist frames and install shading systems composed of natural wood slats.

This three-story house also reflects a clear requirement in the choice of quality construction systems, which give it excellent thermal and acoustic performance. Capoto coverings, thermal plastering, water heating systems through solar panels, air conditioning, are some of the details that guarantee energy efficiency and comfort in the home.

The large spans, the skylights on the roof and a suspended pool add a sophisticated character to the project and allow you to enjoy an immersion with the sky and the ocean.
